By Neil RitchieRecent arrivals, renewals and the securing of finance deals, as well as the Government opening up more of offshore and onshore Taranaki to exploration, all point to an exciting summer in New Zealand’s sole petroleum producing province.While it was just one of many vessels visiting Port Taranaki during early October, the BBC KIBO discharged a significant cargo – drill pipe and casing to be used in the upcoming multi-well deepwater drilling programme off Taranaki and Canterbury by US independent Anadarko Petroleum and its partners.
