Block Offer 2013 now open
The New Zealand Government’s annual tender to attract gas and oil exploration interest in 2013 opened today.
Block Offer 2013 includes around 1, 500 sq km of onshore and almost 190,000 sq km of offshore acreage. The following areas are open for competitive tender for exploration:
- Five defined Onshore Blocks in Taranaki and East Coast of the North Island
- Three Offshore Release Areas in the Taranaki Basin and Reinga-Northland, and Great South Canterbury Provinces
Companies interested in exploring these blocks have until 26 September 2013 to submit work programme-based bids.
